Practice on your device
Isemeria lets you practice Bohairic Coptic without an account. Settings, review scheduling and unfinished cards are saved on your device. Registered accounts also sync per-card mastery to restore library progress and suggested difficulty after sign-in; this is not a full backup of your practice history.
Optional usernames and friends
If you register a username, our separate Isemeria service stores your username, account ID, a hash of your device's account credential, time zone, points, card counts, completion IDs and times, per-card mastery counts and success IDs, and friend relationships. These support your account, leaderboards, friends, daily totals and duplicate-free score updates. Offline completions are queued on your device and sent when you reconnect.
If you set a sign-in password, we store a salted password hash, never the password itself. Sign-in credentials are also hashed on the server. Temporary sign-in attempt counters use the username and a hashed network address to limit repeated attempts. Updated iPhone builds keep an additional account credential in the device Keychain; it is removed when you delete your account in the app.
Your username, points, card counts and time zone are available through the leaderboards. Adding someone as a friend lets that person see an add-back notice. When you both add each other, you can view each other's library of synced cards and successful-completion counts. Removing either friend link ends this access. Unfinished answers, mistakes and review schedules are not shared.
The app does not read your phone's address book or request location access.
Service providers and support
The online service is hosted on Railway, which processes network requests to operate the service. Our app server disables HTTP access logging. Hosting providers may process technical connection data for operation and security. If you email support, your email address and message are used to respond to your enquiry.
Isemeria has no advertising or analytics SDKs, does not sell personal data, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Registration does not ask for an email address.
Retention and deletion
Registered account data is kept while your account exists. In Settings, choose Delete account to erase the account, shared points, completion records and friend links from the service. Deletion requires an internet connection. It leaves your local practice on this device. Uninstalling the app does not delete a server account.
Updated builds let you set a password in Settings and sign in after reinstalling. This restores shared points, friends and synced per-card mastery, including library progress and suggested difficulty. Review scheduling and unfinished cards remain device-local. Delete your account before removing the app if you no longer want its online records kept. If you have lost access, contact us; we may need to verify ownership before handling an account request.
